The Power Continues in December of 2010 - Crazy Love
Will be a mighty time of faith and great inspiration as we continue to seek the Kingdom of God through faith expressing itself through the power of love!
In preparation for the new year, on December 1st of 2010 we will begin reading a book together called - Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God . This book promises to be a call forward, towards Heaven with a greater devotion, faith and love thanever before. We want January of 2011 to begin with the "red hot" flames of devotion burning within ALL of our hearts as we continue to seek the Kingdom and the will of God - on earth just as it is in Heaven - through faith expressing itself through the power of love!
Here are some thoughts on the book from a great sister in Christ, Lorraine Tabar regarding the book, Crazy Love -
This book does a great job of challenging the reader. This book reminds us how small we are compared to the vastness of the Universe. I also took to heart about how we want to be comfortable – God does not call us to be comfortable. He wants us to trust him and not be afraid. We have forgotten how mighty God is and how real love for God manifests itself in loving works towards others.
I found this book to be life-changing in how I come before God and how He views me. I never really gave much thought that everything was created for God. “For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him. (Col 1:16) I never thought about how we live as though God is created for us, to do our bidding, to bless us, and to take care of our loved ones? God does whatever He pleases, yet we keep questioning Him. Because He is God He has a right to ask us why we are so arrogant that we think God owes us an explanation. There is no lukewarmess in our relationship with God – either we are for him or against him – it is our choice.
I believe this book is a wake-up call in that it makes you think and re-evaluate your priorities and brings you to repentance. I believe this book should be read by all disciples, especially those who have been in the Kingdom a long time, because the longer you have been a disciple, things can become “old hat” and we are no longer in awe of God and His majesty.
